It includes two satellites and one subwoofer

Audio quality seems to be the thing that motherboard and peripheral makers are focusing on the most, seeing as how CPUs and GPUs have their own promoters. That's why we're not surprised by the latest product from Logitech.

Not that the new speaker system is actually available yet. Logitech Multimedia Speakers Z333 hasn't been sent out to stores actually.

You can pre-order it through the company's own website, for the sum of $50 / €39, but you won't receive it for a while still. Fortunately, the Swiss company did provide all the relevant information on the product.

The Logitech Z333 Multimedia Speakers

As far as audio products go, this is a really good one wrapped in the guise of a normal model. After all, you might be tempted to think it's just another random 2.1 system.

However, the sleek and complex design, with the rings around the speaker in bas-relief and everything, does suggest that something better than average lies underneath.

For one thing, while the satellites usually work at 40 watts of audio power, they can go all the way to 80 watts if you want your music to reach farther during an outdoor party (well, for really short bursts at any rate).

The subwoofer with 5-inch driver is another thing that stands out. It will probably resonate in your muscles and bones if you turn it above a certain threshold, which is the whole point.

You do, of course, have different controls for the satellite and bass. A wired control pod lets you manage the power and volume and even includes a headphone jack. The bass, meanwhile, has the control dial on the back, right above the audio jacks.

Moreover, the presence of 3.5mm and RCA inputs means that the speaker system can receive audio from all sorts of PCs and TVs, as well as smartphones.

The only thing lacking is wireless support, but that can be solved by adding a Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter, so long as you're willing to hunt for one and buy it separately.

All in all, each speaker measures 18 cm x 10.8 cm x 9 cm (7.1 x 4.3 x 3.6 inches), while the subwoover measures 23 cm x 22 cm x 14 cm (9.1 x 8.7 x 5.5 inches). The power cable is 1.5 meters long (4.9 feet) and the satellite-to-subwoofer cable reaches across the same distance.

Availability and pricing

The latter we mentioned above. The former is still unclear though. On twitter, Logitech said the Z333 Multimedia Speakers had already been fully launched, but the product page only lists pre-orders as possible, so we guess that a week or several of waiting are in store for you.
