Khloe Kardashian was always the “fat one” of the Kardashian sisters. She owned up to her heavier figure then and she does it now that she’s slimmer and more toned than ever. Khloe Kardashian isn’t mad at all those who made fun of her for being “fat,” she’s actually eager to share the details of her fitness journey so far.

Khloe, like her famous sisters and the Jenner half-sisters, lives and breathes through social media. This means that the fans and everyone else have been up to speed with her weight loss progress, which includes regular workouts at the gym and plenty of time with a waist-trainer daily.

Khloe shows off “baby abs”

Everyone noticed that Khloe was getting slimmer and more toned in recent months, but aside from the occasional more revealing selfie, she kept her new figure under wraps. A short while ago, Khloe posted a photo to her Instagram showing her progress in more details: world, meet Khloe’s “baby abs.”

In the pic, which you will also find available below, the reality star says that she’s finally starting to discover she has muscles on her abdomen, because she had never seen them before. She is ready to meet them all, she says, promising she will stick to her regular workout routine and healthy eating plan until she gets that much-coveted six-pack.

While voices online are pointing that Khloe’s proportions are actually a bit larger in real life (so this photo must have been retouched before posting), there is nothing fake about her wonderful message: dedicate time to yourself, to get healthy and happy.

An inspirational journey

Instead of just boasting about her new figure, Khloe uses her Instagram to send an inspiring message to her 18.2 million followers: do something to change your life for the better, get healthy and be consistent at it. Be “better than you used to be.”

She says she hasn’t achieved her fitness goals just yet, and that she has doubts she ever will. However, she feels better about herself than she ever did, she’s more confident, happier, and healthier. She’s also wiser in a way, because today she knows that staying healthy requires time and dedication, that consistency is vital.

She advises against short-term fixes and points that her own journey started a couple of years ago, with her turning to working out as a form of stress relief. The results of all this hard work were slow to show, but most satisfying.

“We all have to start somewhere and doing something is better than nothing at all. Start small so you don't get discouraged and give up. Remember it is all about consistency. There are no quick fixes if you want long-term results,” Khloe adds.

My fitness journey will be a life long journey. Fitness is not about being better than someone else… It's about being better than you used to be. I'm not where I want to be and who knows if I ever will be. But I am healthier than ever and due to my consistent workouts, I am slowly seeing results. Hi baby abs 🙋!! I see you!!! I hope to meet your other ab friends soon 😝 (yes I'm talking to my muscles. I've never met most of them before) A photo posted by Khloé (@khloekardashian) on Feb 27, 2015 at 9:00am PST

Looking back at pictures of myself I didn't realize at the time how unhealthy my lifestyle actually was. People love to call me the fat one but as weird as it sounds I still don't think I would consider myself fat back then. Definitely overweight and unhealthy, yes. About two years ago I decided to turn to fitness as a form of therapy and as a stress reliever. I started slow and eventually I started working out 4 to 5 days a week. We all have to start somewhere and doing something is better than nothing at all. Start small so you don't get discouraged and give up. Remember it is all about consistency. There are no quick fixes if you want long-term results. Working out is a huge part of my life now. I genuinely enjoy sweating out my frustrations and living a healthier life. My workouts are not all about vanity. They are about clarity for my mind and soul. We all have different journeys in life, make sure your journey is for you and you alone. Remember in the end the turtle won the race. Slow and steady. dedication and tenacity. 💋 A photo posted by Khloé (@khloekardashian) on Feb 27, 2015 at 9:55am PST
