Lenovo might be prepping its next-gen flagship

This year, Lenovo has already brought a bunch of smartphones to the market, but nothing too major. Sure, the company rolled out the K80 a few weeks ago, and the device looks promising.

The phone should compete head to head with the ASUS ZenFone 2, as their specifications are very similar. The K80 takes advantage of a 5.5-inch 1080p display (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) and draws life from a 64-bit Intel Atom processor clocked at 1.8GHz.

Other specs include LTE, 13MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization, and a hefty 64GB of internal storage.

However, Lenovo didn’t make a big fuss of the K80 and introduced it quietly in Asia. There was no big press event for it, so it’s safe to say that the phone is not to be considered a flagship.

Lenovo Coco-F might be the company's next flagship

But that doesn’t mean Lenovo isn’t cooking something grand for the upcoming months. The folks at Gizmo China managed to dig out some fresh information showing that the Chinese company is working towards a new concept smartphone called the Lenovo Coco-F.

This is probably just a codename for the product, and when it finally arrives on the market, it will likely be introduced under a different name. Anyhow, the Coco-F is quite special since we’re told the phone will feature a unique 3D Arch (?) glass curved design.

We’re not exactly sure what this description entails, but we might end up seeing something similar to the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. But this is just pure speculation at this point.

Apart from the unique 3D glass design, the phone is also said to be bundling a fingerprint sensor and an ultra-high resolution front camera for great selfie taking.

Our obsession with selfies is actively driving device makers to make frontal cameras better and better. A while ago, we told you that the specs of the upcoming HTC Butterfly 3 had been uncovered, showing a huge 13MP selfie camera capable of 4K video recording.

The Lenovo Coco-F will support dual 4G China Unicom and China Telecom networks and will be offered with two nano SIM cards.

Sadly, we don’t have the whole specs list of the phone, but according to reports, the device should make an entrance on the market in the upcoming months, so we’ll find out then what exactly it has to offer.
