14 DAY TRIAL // Windows 10 build 10022 could be the next version that insiders might get this month, and since interest in the features that it could bring is so high, leaked screenshots reach the web on a regular basis.
This time, Russian leaker WZor has published a set of four screenshots that show an improved version of the multiple desktops feature which can be accessed from the Task view button on the taskbar.
These screenshots do not reveal anything new on the desktop, but as far as Task view is concerned, it turns out that Microsoft moved the “New desktop” button to the right side of the screen to make room for more desktops and keep things organized.
What's more, the section at the bottom of the screen that groups desktop previews is now featuring transparency, allowing you to see the wallpaper on the desktop.
More features likely to be added
Obviously, these aren't really exciting features when it comes to Task view functionality, but judging by the number of requests currently posted on UserVoice and through the Windows 10 Feedback app, there's no doubt that more options are on their way.
For example, one of the most requested features was the possibility of adding a different wallpaper on every desktop, thus making it easier to customize each one and organize your work.
At the same time, users asked for settings to input a name for each desktop, which again would enhance productivity and offer better organization power on the desktop.
But these are all just requests for the time being, so there's still no indication that Microsoft would add them in the final version of the operating system.
And yet, it's pretty clear that a multiple desktops feature wouldn't make much sense without such options, and since Microsoft wants to get Windows 10 right, expect them to be part of the final release.
