14 DAY TRIAL // LeAnn Rimes has been in an ongoing battle with Brandi Glanville, her husband's ex-wife. Their conflicts were dutifully documented by the media and the conclusion was that the two women were at each other's throats.
Lately, the battle has been put on standby as LeAnn and Brandi decided it to call a truce for the sake of Eddie Cibrian's 11-year-old son, Mason. But LeAnn couldn't help herself to toss in a nasty comment on social media, which is actually a veiled critic at her Arch nemesis, Brandi.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the singer goes on to speak about her music career and her many successes. She credits her numerous achievements to fact that she's always been driven, ever since she was a child.
“I was super-driven as a kid. Even though I was on the road a lot, the teachers would give me homework and I would get it all done. I look at my 11-year-old stepson Mason, and I’m like, ‘I signed a record deal when I was your age. You’re still fumbling with tying your shoelaces,’” LeAnn says, taking a low swing at her stepson.
Knowing her history with Brandi, it becomes clear that this is an attack on her, a veiled reference to the fact that she hasn't been a good mother that took care of her son enough that he would know to tie his own shoes by age 11, but it's in poor taste to blast what is essentially your own family in an interview with the press.
In her effort to wound her opponent, LeAnn is overstepping some bounds and that's not good. Earlier this year, when Mason had an accident while in the care of his mother, LeAnn blasted Brandi publicly for failing to announce Eddie. They found out hours after the incident when Mason phoned his father in person to tell him what had happened.
Since then, LeAnn hasn't missed one opportunity to point out Glaville's flaws and bad parenting skills, but this time she might have overstepped her stepmother duties.

From the interview, we gather that LeAnn, who had previously spoken against having children, is now ready for a tot with Eddie Cibrian. Originally, she didn't think that she could juggle a career and a baby, but now she says that she's ready to give it a try.
It's now only a matter of time until Brandi, known to be outspoken, fires back at LeAnn for what will surely seem to her a blow below the belt.
