14 DAY TRIAL // The Lumia 940 is not a real thing, not yet at least. Although there have been lots of rumors and even official statements coming from Microsoft regarding the next Windows Phone flagship, Lumia 940 is just a thought in everyone's mind for the time being.
Since Microsoft is hands full with the release of Windows 10 for Phones, very talented people in the design industry have taken upon themselves to envision the Redmond-based company's upcoming flagship smartphone.
PhoneDesigner is one of the people that have released other concepts in the past based on renders leaked before official announcement or fully original concepts showing some of his ideas to the world.
The newest images of a phone concept could be those of the Lumia 940, though PhoneDesigner hasn't really named its work yet because it's not finished.
However, since this is a Windows Phone handset, we could look at it as the Lumia 940, which might be Microsoft's next flagship smartphone.
It's all about transparency
There aren't any specs attached to these images, but they don't even need that, as they are very cool by themselves. We've attached the pictures of the concept phone in the gallery, and as you can see, it's all about transparency.
The entire casing appears to be made from some kind of glass or a transparent plastic. You can't see the electronics inside even if the casing seems transparent, but that makes the concept even cooler.
We really hope Microsoft is experiencing with different designs for its next Lumia flagship smartphone or at least takes into consideration some of the ideas these designers are coming with.
