Fans are hoping she never lands the part

It seems that it's become a trendy thing to land a cameo role in everyone's favorite TV show, “Downton Abbey.” Even reality star Kim Kardashian, who has never been known for her acting skills, dreams about appearing on the hugely popular British television program.

The Sun claims that Kim has expressed her wish to have a cameo role on the show simply because she loves it: “I'm a big fan. I'd love to be on it if they asked. I love things like that.” This comes just days after actor George Clooney was confirmed to appear on the show for a similar cameo role.

Kim wants to appear on Downton Abbey, just like George Clooney did

In Clooney's case, it was part of an ITV fundraising campaign called “Text Santa.” The actor agreed to film a special appearance in an one-off episode, a Christmas special. The cast was said to have been impressed with Clooney's acting skills and had a lot of fun filming the episode.

When hearing the news about Kim's bid to land on the show, fans of “Downton Abbey” literally freaked out, since the show is about a classy British family and Kim is as far away from the concept and the period as one could possibly get.

Fans are begging producers not to let her appear on the show

Since Kim is not famous for her British accent or for covering up her cleavage, it's hoped that the producers won't be landing her a cameo anytime soon. But she isn't detracted by all the negativity, and it's said that she's enlisting the help of actress Laura Carmichael, Lady Edith Crawle, for tips on how to land a part on the series.

Keep in mind that the reality star has got a Razzie every time she appeared on the big screen, which isn't saying much for her acting chops. On the small screen, however, she is somewhat successful, if only in cameo role appearances.

So far, she's appeared in television series such as “Beyond the Break” and “Drop Dead Diva,” with her latest appearance in the CBS sitcom “2 Broke Girls,” which also recently starred Lindsay Lohan.

“Downton Abbey” is a period drama produced in the United Kingdom but one that has also found a huge following in the United States, which would explain why Kim is gushing over a possible appearance.

The show has enjoyed massive success on both sides of the Atlantic, and now that fall programming has begun, people are eager for the release of the latest series of the show. In the UK, this is going to happen soon, on Sunday, September 21, when the fifth series is set to premiere. Americans will have to wait some more.
