14 DAY TRIAL // Just the other day, rumor got out that Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, who separated in mid-2013, had agreed to get together to do another season of their spinoff reality show, Khloe & Lamar. At the same time, reports claimed that they had never really split, but only said so to create drama for the cameras and thus boost ratings for Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
While we might never get to learn the truth of all this, here’s what we know: Khloe filed the divorce papers in December 2013, but as of April 2015, she is still married to Lamar. A judge is now telling her she will remain so unless she moves forward with the procedures.
Case will be dismissed if she doesn’t act, court warns her
So Khloe filed the papers in December, but Lamar never responded to the filing. As a matter of fact, for several months after the fact, he was telling the media that they were working on their marriage and that he was convinced he could win Khloe back.
Then, it was as if he slipped off the face of the earth.
TMZ explains that Khloe could have gotten a default divorce judgement even without Lamar’s response to the filing, but she had to file extra paperwork for it. She never did it, which means the court will throw the case out unless she takes a concrete step in one direction or another by the end of this month.
“Sources connected to the Kardashian family tell us she just doesn't want to deal with the divorce and won't take any action,” the report claims, hinting that, despite other rumors, Khloe and Lamar are pretty much done.
However, considering how eager to move on she came across on the family reality show, continuing married to the man who broke her heart wouldn’t make sense. Unless… well, cue all those conspiracy theories.
Khloe still goes by Kardashian Odom
Khloe and Lamar tied the knot after just 1 month of dating, and proceeded to celebrate their love by getting matching tattoos.
She is yet to remove hers, and as it emerged the other day, she still goes legally by Kardashian Odom. Khloe and sister Kim are now in Armenia, getting to know their roots (their words, not ours), and after a visit with the heads of state, they were offered a piece of land in the country, as a sign of distinction and national recognition.
Khloe’s name was spelled Kardashian Odom on it, as fans got to see from the Instagram photo she posted right after the ceremony was over. She deleted the photo within minutes, which could mean that she didn’t want the fans to know that she was still married to Lamar.
That cat is out of the bag now.
