Reality star talks to Cosmo about single life, says she “craves companionship” and wants “to cuddle”

Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband Lamar Odom a little over a year ago, and she recently broke up from her rebound boyfriend, rapper French Montana, as well. She is now single and she tells the latest issue of the British Cosmopolitan magazine that she prefers it that way.

Though she’s featured on one of the most successful reality shows of the moment, Khloe doesn’t talk that much to the media about her personal life, mostly because she does that in front of the camera already.

This interview is an exception, but only because she’s promoting her and sister Kourtney’s new spinoff show, which sees them move to the Hamptons for the summer.

Khloe says she “craves companionship”

From what we can make out from her previous interviews and TV appearances, Khloe hoped until the last moment that she could somehow save her marriage to Lamar, even when it became clear that he had given up on it and that he wasn’t willing to move a muscle to get Khloe back.

So naturally, when she finally threw in the towel and filed the divorce papers, she was heartbroken; the way in which her marriage to Lamar ended ruined her and plunged her into depression. To make matters worse, she is still married to the basketball player because he’s refusing to sign the papers or to file his own divorce petition.

Still, Khloe explains to Cosmo, she didn’t jump into French’s arms right after the divorce filing because she wanted a man to sleep with, but because she wanted to have someone in her bed at night to wrap his arms around her and comfort her. “I crave companionship – I just want to cuddle,” Khloe says.

“I got married at 25 – I was young, but I loved it. I do like it when you save certain things for your marriage. I don’t think you should treat every guy you’re dating like your husband. It doesn’t make it special,” she continues.

30 and childless, afraid but also happy

Khloe has never made a secret of how badly she wants to become a mother. If you watched a single episode or even trailer for her and Lamar’s spinoff show, her fertility issues and motherhood plans were always coming up.

Khloe never imagined she’d be divorced and still childless at the age of 30, but here she is. The way she sees it, she has two options: she can either crawl up in a ball and cry her eyes out, or she can accept things as they are and try to make the best of them.

She’s choosing the latter, telling the publication that, while she imagined her life at this stage differently, she’s “happy.” She’s also thrilled to have finally moved into her own house, with no one but her brother Rob to keep her company.

A report from the other day claimed that Rob was so disgusted with his own family that he had decided to end all contact with them, except for Khloe, who is helping him out. Rob has been struggling with a severe weight problem for some time now, with insiders claiming that he’s also depressed and possibly overmedicating and drinking too much as well.
