14 DAY TRIAL // Former Playboy Bunny Kendra Wilkinson has been going through hell after word got out that her husband of 5 years Hank Baskett had had an affair with a transgender model and then tried to buy her silence with money from their joint bank account.
When the model came forward to give to the press all the details of their tryst, things got even more tense between Hank and Kendra, to the point where she kicked him out of the house – but not before she flushed her engagement ring and wedding band down the toilet.
The good news is that all this is now water under the bridge.
Kendra takes Hank back, decides to forgive and forget
The marital drama was fully documented on camera, for season 3 of Kendra and Hank’s WE tv series Kendra on Top. Production on that has wrapped, but the duo got another offer to capitalize on the incident, and jumped into another project, shooting Marriage Boot Camp, the celebrity edition.
This is a reality series that helps couples deal with whatever problems they feel are holding back their relationship, so by signing on for it, fans were led to understand that Kendra was yet to forgive Hank for the betrayal.
InTouch Weekly is now reporting that their stint on that show will end with a ceremony in which they will be renewing their vows so, yes, Kendra is ready to let Hank’s infidelity slide for once.
Then again, from what she’s been telling the media in recent interviews, she never really believed the model on her claims, even hinting at one point that Hank was being targeted because he was a celebrity and that this woman was blackmailing him.
A couple of days later, Hank went to the FBI to file a complaint for extortion against the model, saying she had illegally obtained recordings of a phone conversation between her and him, which she was using as leverage in blackmail.
Kendra gets new rings, shocks castmates
On the same finale of Marriage Boot Camp, Hank will also be presenting Kendra with a brand new engagement ring and wedding band, to replace those she threw down the toilet when she found out about his so-called infidelity.
According to the report, which cites a production source, when Kendra accepted Hank’s proposal to renew the vows, all their castmates on Marriage Boot Camp were shocked because either they had shown no signs of reconciliation until then, or Kendra had really been given all the good reasons she should divorce Hank for.
Admittedly, Kendra has even been getting involved in shouting matches with co-stars over unsolicited advice on why she shouldn’t be with Hank anymore. So, when they exchanged vows, “no one thought they were being honest with themselves,” says the tipster.
This can be read to imply that not even Hank and Kendra’s castmates on Marriage Boot Camp believed the cheating scandal was legit. One very popular theory online right now is that she and Hank and the transgender model had been in on it from the start, setting the whole thing up so interest in their reality show would pick up.
