History of Duets segment is just as hilarious as it’s good

A short while ago, new mom Kelly Clarkson was talking about her latest album, “Piece by Piece,” and how it wouldn’t include as many duets as she would have liked because, apparently, no one of those she approached wanted to work with her.

She was even thinking she might have the plague or leprosy or something.

Last night on his show, Jimmy Fallon set this right for once and for all, thanks to a new segment he called History of Duets. Having heard that big names in the industry were reluctant to work with Kelly and do duets with her, he came up with just the thing for her: he did several of them with the singer, all into one big, hilarious, overall amazing medley.

You can find it embedded in the video below. It included hits like “I Got You Babe” from Sonny and Cher, “Don’t You Want Me” from Human League, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” from Elton John, “Don’t Know Much” from Aaron Neville, and “Opposites Attract” from Paula Abdul, and it was easily the funniest musical bit Fallon ever took part in.

Last week, Fallon did a similar number with Christina Aguilera, called the Wheel of Musical Impressions. That one was brilliant as well, but Fallon didn’t have half as much fun as he had with Kelly, who is more of an outgoing personality.

Here’s the History of Duets, enjoy!
