Home intrusion for actors is sadly becoming more common than it actually should. While it's mostly female actors and celebrities that get their privacy invaded, sometimes, female fans overstep boundaries and enter the homes of male actors.

The latest star to be affected by this worrying trend was actor Keanu Reeves. TMZ reports that Reeves woke up on Monday morning, sometime around 4 am to strange noises coming from the library in his home.

Keanu hears noises in his home in the middle of the night, goes to check, finds woman sitting in his chair

The 50-year-old actor went to check the source of the noise and was surprised to find a woman sitting quietly in a chair who told him she was there to meet him. The woman whose identity has not been revealed, is said to be in her 40s and was very calm during the entire incident.

Police later related how the rest of the incident took place. They claimed that the actor approached her with calm and told her that she had to leave. Not even when she told him that she was there to meet him did the actor relent.

The actor called the police who came in and took the woman away

Seeing that he was getting nowhere with the woman, Keanu then called 911 and told the dispatcher to send out a police car to his home because he had an intruder. When officers showed up, the woman was still calm. She was later taken for a psych evaluation.

Keanu is being praised by the media for his calm and composure and for trying to defuse the situation. Some said that his behavior is similar to the one displayed by his character Neo in the “Matrix” movies.

It was later revealed that the woman was able to get inside of Keanu's home, which is regarded by many of his neighbors as a virtual fortress, because the actor didn't set his alarm system. The street where Keanu lives is an exclusive region in the Hollywood Hills known as “Hunk Alley” because of the famous actors living there – Keanu Reeves, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire.

Sadly, the celebrity home invasion trend is picking up. Sandra Bullock, who co-starred with Keanu in the ‘90s action movie “Speed,” was also the victim of a similar incident. In her case, an armed man broke into her home and prowled her bedroom door for a long time before police arrived. The man was arrested and also given a psych evaluation.

This incident shook Sandra Bullock to the core, so much so that she decided to leave Hollywood for a less popular city, one where people don't stalk celebrities and break into their homes.
