It's time to get a little serious, to leave Kim Kardashian's derrière break the internet (it's still working, by the way), Amanda Bynes' public meltdown, and all the Marvel leaks floating around online. It's time to talk about the next in line to the British throne, since the future of the English monarchy is at stake here.

Let's start things off with the obvious: everybody loves Kate Middleton. Women want to be like her, men want to have her in their beds and in their lives. She is pretty, she is smart and articulate, and now she's a Duchess, bearing sons for the future of the British royal family.

At the moment, she stepped out of the limelight in order to deal with a delicate time in her second pregnancy that has been discussed intensely in the media, including on this very website. This gives us some time to speculate on the future of what is shaping up to be, by all accounts, the more prolific royal family so far.

Kate Middleton wants to have four children by the age of 36, she's on fire

Kate has decided that she wants no fewer than 4 children, a desire spurred on by the fact that she got along so famously well with her own siblings, a sister and a brother, while growing up. This might be easier said than done, as Kate is among those few women who are plagued by a rare condition known as hiperemesis gravidarum, or, in layman's terms, “extreme morning sickness.”

This affliction flared up during her pregnancy with Prince George and is said to have gotten worse during her second pregnancy. We can only speculate what it's going to be like for her on her third and fourth pregnancies.

So why does Kate put her health in danger for the good of the royal family? A new rumor being spread around by British tabloids would have us believe that Kate has hatched an evil master plan and she's sticking to it even if it kills her.

It seems that Kate's newfound strength to bear two additional children on top of the two she will have by next year has inspired William to take a more active role in the royal family. We don't know what Kate has told, but insiders confirm that William is working up the courage to ask his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, to leave the Throne to him and not to his father, Prince Charles, who has been waiting around for decades to be crowned.

The Queen is impressed by this, might consider William as her successor

Prince William has previously turned down the Crown, which allegedly made his father Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, furious, as they were led to believe that they had a legitimate shot at the throne now.

The matter is still quite muddy since the Queen has shown no intention of leaving the throne anytime soon. All over Europe, other monarchies have seen aging rulers abdicate in favor of their offspring, but England is not keen to follow suit.

Palace insiders have confirmed that, while the Queen is getting on in years and is finding it increasingly difficult to perform all her duties, she's still sharp as a tack and still bossy as ever, putting the affairs of the entire royal family in order.

However, Kate's plan of a large family, might just be the thing that changes the Queen's mind. Having four children is a sign of strength for William, and the Queen might see him as a more fit ruler than his father, who is also getting on in years.

Brits prefer William to his father Charles as the new King of England

This scenario might also be beneficial for the British public as well, as polls have shown that Brits are more keen to see William put on the Throne of England, rather than his father Charles, for different reasons. This too will play an important part in the Queen's decision for a successor.

So far, all we know is that the Queen was delighted that Kate decided to have a second baby, and since she's now determined to have four children by the age of 36, that must give her a big vote of confidence with the British monarch, who might just chose them as the new power couple in the royal family.

For now, we are waiting for the second baby, which is due, according to the latest estimations, some time in April next year, and we're putting down money on whether it's going to be a boy or a girl. So far, the big money is on a baby girl, although there have been rumors that Kate is expecting twin girls. Until then, long live the Queen!
