Another day, another cheap Android smartphone gets launched in India. The country with the most frequent smartphone launches, India, is targeted by many international handset makers.

However, it's the native OEMs that launch most of the smartphones released in India. Brands like Micromax, Lava Mobiles, XOLO, Intex and Karbonn are well known among Indian customers, but also among competition.

Today, one of these Indian companies introduced yet another budget-friendly Android smartphone. Karbonn Alfa A120 is a cheap handset that will be available for purchase in India in the coming days.

According to AndroidOS, Karbonn Alfa A120 has been priced at Rs 4,590 ($73 / €68) outright, though an exact release date hasn't been confirmed yet.

Dual-SIM support and 3,000 mAh battery are among the best features

The Alfa A120 doesn't have any features that would make it standout from other smartphones in the same price range, but Karbonn Fans may want to give it a try and see how it performs.

Karbonn's smartphone will ship with an older Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system right out of the box. The Indian company also announced that that its new smartphone contains support for 22 Indian languages.

The Alfa A120 is equipped with a 1.3GHz dual-core processor, probably provided by MediaTek, as well as 512MB of RAM. The smartphone packs only 4GB of internal memory, but users will be able to expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

The smartphone also sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display, as well as dual cameras (5-megapixel rear-facing camera and VGA front shooter).

The upcoming Karbonn Alfa A120 will be powered by a high-capacity 3,000 mAh battery, which should provide up to 18 hours of talk time.

Last but not least, the budget-friendly smartphone will come with dual-SIM support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS with AGPS connectivity.
