It turns out that Kanye is a follower of the old school of raising children, which involves hitting them when they misbehave, while Kim, on the other hand, believes that kids should not be struck.
A report from the National Enquirer claims that Kim and Kanye almost came to blows recently, when she caught him disciplining their daughter North in a physical manner. It turns out that Kim saw Kanye tap their daughter repeatedly on the hand and telling her not to do something. That's the moment when Kim lost it and began shouting at him.

Not one to give up easy, Kanye looks to have fought back when Kim began shouting at him and he shouted back, coming up with his own arguments as to why his method was better and that Kim's loose parenting style was going to spoil their child rotten.
While tapping your child on the hand does not constitute an abuse in any country and will not scar the child emotionally for the rest of their life, it does look like Kim is indeed a light-touch parent, with airs of modernism when it comes to raising her own daughter.
This is indeed a thorny matter, with lots of gray areas, and that sparks a lot of controversy among people all over the world, since everyone is either for or against using a little corporal punishment to educate their children.
