For the first time ever, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis' 15-year-old daughter, Lily-Rose, has walked the red carpet with her mother, proving that, in some cases, modeling genes can be passed on.
The teen looked fabulous at the Chanel presentation in New York, as the photos in the gallery below can confirm.
Lily-Rose is getting ready for takeover
Vanessa Paradis has long been a fan of Karl Lagerfeld's work for Chanel (of course!), so the Chanel Metiers d'Art show was just the place to bring her daughter for her big "introduction."
"It’s a first," Vanessa told the media of walking the red carpet with her daughter. "It’s moving and emotional."
The 15-year-old wore head-to-toe Chanel, a light blue two-piece with a wide scarf. The crystals on the skirt were hand-sewn, Yahoo! Style says. She went for minimal styling for the hair and makeup, letting the beautiful pieces of couture do all the talking for her.
Lily-Rose also posed next to her mother on the red carpet, and celebrity pundits consider that sufficient proof that she had what it takes to take over from her as Lagerfeld's muse.
However, the teen isn't looking to break into fashion for the time being: her focus seems to be on acting. She has "Yoga Hosers" coming out this year, co-starring her dad Johnny and directed by Kevin Smith, her second role on the big screen.
In older interviews, Depp praised her for her commitment and work ethic on set, and even hinted that she had her sight set on a career in Hollywood.
A clear recipe for success
Considering she's the daughter of one of the most famous couples in showbiz, Lily-Rose should probably have little trouble with getting the kind of work opportunities she needs to launch herself.
If what her dad has been saying is true, namely that she's also a very gifted actress, she will probably "explode" on the scene in the next couple of years.
So far, what we know about her is that she's beautiful, she's presumably talented and has the right family name. The only way she couldn't make a career in showbiz is if she didn't want one in the first place.
