14 DAY TRIAL // Hello Games has announced that Joe Danger, its hit daredevil video game, will be making its way to Android-running devices soon.
Sockmonkey Studios is the developer aiding Hello Games in bringing the game to Android mobile platforms, based on Joe Danger Touch, the predecessor available on iOS.
The game will be made available on Google Play, the Amazon Appstore and Ouya sometime later this year, and will include 80 different levels and a lot of crazy stunts.
Joe Danger, the titular character, is a dirt bike-riding daredevil that is able to perform daring stunts over a wide variety of obstacles.
Players will have to make sure that he steers clear of obstacles such as spike traps and shark-infested swimming pools, and getting a perfect run will net them a Pro Medal.
The game will also ship with online scoreboards and achievements, enabling users to compete against their friends and establish their dominance at the top of the leaderboards.
In addition to the many hours of fun that the 10 challenging tours of the main single-player campaign has, players will also be able to play the Daily Challenge mode, for a special new level to beat, using one of 29 different collectible characters.
Optimized for touch screens, compatible with controllers
Furthermore, Joe Danger on Android will be compatible with a wide range of gaming controllers, including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Moga, and generic HID/USB ones, enabling users to play on their television sets or monitors.
The game will also be compatible with the Nvidia Shield device and will run at 60 frames per second, just like the original does.
For the time being, the exact release date and pricing details are not available, but it's likely that Joe Danger will be a paid game when it launches.
Hello Games is currently working on No Man's Sky, a space exploration game that will be a timed PlayStation 4 exclusive, due out later this year.
