Marvel is in full swing with the promo for “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which opens in select theaters this month and then wide on May 1. Jeremy Renner, who reprises his role as Hawkeye in the film, stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about it, and dished some details about his 2-year-old daughter.

You might not know this because Renner is uncharacteristically discreet about his private life, but he is actually a father. The mother is Sonni Pacheco, a model from Canada, whom Renner married in 2014, after the birth of the baby.

Less than 10 months later, she initiated divorce, and the battle, including the one for custody, promises to be a real nasty one.

Renner won’t talk about that, but he will gush about his daughter, who has already turned his entire life upside down. You can see this segment of the interview below: the actor says he’s head over heels with his daughter and that she managed to change his priorities in life.

In this sense, she “kinda” messed up his career, because work no longer comes first, Renner smiles. “She’s like number one in my life. And now I get to do movies on the side. Daddy’s my best role to date, I think,” he says.

Luckily, being part of the Marvel’s film universe offers him enough financial security for him to not feel any kind of pressure about having to work non-stop.
