Jessica seemed totally out of it
This isn’t the first time that Jessica Simpson is plagued by rumors that her drinking habit is getting out of control. Since she’s been doing more public appearances in more recent weeks, to promote her fashion line, her weight loss program and the cover of Teen Vogue, these rumors have picked up.
For instance, before this interview with Extra, she got plenty of attention online for her chat with The Today Show, when she seemed to zone out at least a couple of times while speaking.
The Extra interview is even worse: Jessica is seen wobbling even though she’s standing, as if she’s about to lose balance. She appears uncoordinated and is slurring her words, and she giggles at the most random things, while clearly not able to answer a question directly.
Obviously, unless she speaks about it, we can’t know for certain what was wrong with her, if anything at all; however, the Internet has already decided: she was either drunk or, as they say, high as a kite. All those who’ve seen the video refuse to accept that someone who isn’t under the influence would act this way in public.
This would also be in line with all those rumors about Simpson loving a good boozy night out more than anything.
The little (blonde) engine that could
Even assuming that Jessica is under the influence in this video (which she probably is), that doesn’t change the fact that, with every new business venture, she proves haters wrong.
She is the bubbly blonde pop star who made headlines around the world when she asked in front of a camera if tune was “like the chicken of the sea,” whose music career took a nosedive and never recovered, and whose films were more or less box office and critical bombs.
She is the same blonde pop star that many thought would just fizzle out, having been left out of options. Since then, Jessica has been proving haters wrong with every new collection she puts out: today, she is selling clothes and shoes, bags and jewelry, and has secured a good spot in the market by delivering quality products for all ages and body shapes.
