14 DAY TRIAL // They’re both single, they have known each other for years and are best friends, to boot. There’s a new hot Hollywood couple on the scene and they’re running for most adorable item ever: Jennifer Lawrence is dating her “Hunger Games” co-star Liam Hemsworth.
They say on-set romances rarely have a chance of success, of lasting past the film’s premiere date and there are certainly countless examples to confirm that. However, Jennifer and Liam could be the exception to that rule, or so fans want to believe.
“They’ve always had insane chemistry”
Liam and Jennifer met on the set of the first “Hunger Games” movie, which came out in 2012. At the time, he was engaged to pop star Miley Cyrus (who was insanely jealous of how well the two got along, rumor has it), and she was dating longtime boyfriend Nicholas Hoult.
Neither was looking to cheat on their respective partners, so they became friends, and in time, their relationship solidified. Jennifer is now describing Liam as her best friend ever, saying she would have never imagined that someone as handsome, smart and talented as he is would come into her life, teach her to stand up for herself and generally be a better person.
According to the latest in Life & Style Magazine, they’re more than just the best of friends. Just recently, Jennifer was dating Coldplay lead Chris Martin, who was also fresh from a breakup, as he and his wife of 11 years Gwyneth Paltrow decided to go their separate ways, or as she so pretentiously put it, to consciously uncouple.
Single and ready to mingle (with each other)
Jennifer and Chris are no longer together, because the “drama” was too much for her, an inside source reveals. She confided in Liam about the whole thing and eventually shared with him her decision to end the Chris relationship, only after a few months of trying to make it work.
What tipped the scales for her was receiving from Liam a stuffed koala bear, the koalas being favorites with her, with a note reading, “Hold out for the perfect man.”
This is when he decided to follow his gut and finally ask her out, and they’re officially dating right now. As the source puts it for the publication, Jennifer may have finally found her perfect match, because Liam is always very thoughtful and kind.
Miley saw this coming
If we’re to believe online reports, Miley saw this coming many years ago. At the time Liam and Jennifer started promoting “The Hunger Games,” she was still with the handsome Australian actor and she noticed the “insane chemistry” he had with his co-star. Obviously, she didn’t like it one bit.
Word has it that what made Liam dump Miley wasn’t just her drastic change in look, sound and behavior, but also her jealousy and her attempt at controlling everything in his life. If we’re to put 2 and 2 together, we could say that Miley tried to ban him from seeing Jennifer outside of working hours, which obviously didn’t happen.
But there’s also this to consider: “The Hunger Games” has a new installment in theaters now, “Mockingjay Part 1.” Not that the movie can’t sell itself (because it can), but there’s no such thing as a little gossip, especially of this adorable kind, being harmful to a blockbuster release. So it could be that this dating rumor is just some PR’s attempt to get non-fans interested in the third film in the franchise.
We’ll see.
