Justin Bieber made the wildest dreams of many students at the Chatsworth High School from Los Angeles, California, come true over the weekend, when he crashed their school prom, held at the Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood.

The only problem is, according to school administrators speaking with TMZ, he did so at their expense because his presence there put them at considerable risk.

Justin Bieber crashes the party, pandemonium ensues

Videos of Justin’s surprise appearance at the school prom started popping up online, on social media, within minutes after he’d left the premises. You can see some snippets put together in the video below.

From details available online, it seems that his visit didn’t last long: he merely made his way to the dancefloor and then across it, danced for a bit, shook hands and exchanged a few words with fans, and then was gone before they could get over the initial shock.

Still, it was more than enough, as you can see in the video. By the time he was heading towards the door to leave, hysterical fans were screaming after him, frantic in their desire to get a photo with him on their cell phone or to touch him.

Had Justin stayed around for even a minute longer, all hell would have broken loose.

School administrators say Justin bullied his way in

And this is precisely the problem with this surprise appearance, school administrators say for TMZ. Apparently, they knew he was around because they’d heard he was shooting for a new video at a nearby studio, but they were “assured” he wouldn’t even think of coming around for the prom.

When he did, “his entourage pushed past the school’s security to gain access to the dance floor,” thus putting all the kids there in serious danger. If things had gotten out of hand because he was there, administrators would have had no way to ensure crowd control.

After all, Bieber’s presence is known to have caused several problems of this kind already, and more than once police had to intervene for crowd control.

In response, a publicist for the pop star says that the school is blowing the situation out of proportion. Apparently, Bieber came over because some students had asked him to, after meeting outside. “It's unfortunate they're trying to make this a negative thing. It was awesome for all the kids,” adds the rep.

You can tell just how awesome it was by their screams.
