A couple of screenshots, allegedly from a debug build of Just Cause 3, have been leaked online, and are currently making the rounds among fans of the over-the-top action adventure video game.

The four images, available in the gallery below, originated from Xbox-Underground, are heavily watermarked and supposedly come from an Xbox One debug build of Just Cause 3.

While Avalanche Studios never officially announced the action adventure title, there have been a lot of rumors that a third entry in the popular series was in the making, especially after a series of developer video blogs showed the team traveling to exotic locations for inspiration for an upcoming video game.

Everybody just assumed that the sandbox adventure game was in development, but this leak, seemingly legitimate, confirms what everyone was secretly hoping for. A source cited by Eurogamer verified the authenticity of the images, so it seems that those who were worried that a third entry would not come can put those thoughts to rest.

For the time being, neither developer Avalanche Studios nor publisher Square Enix commented on the leak, but it seems that the game has been in production for quite some time now. The developer is also working on a Mad Max licensed game for publisher Warner Bros, due out sometime in 2015 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
