J K Rowling has confirmed that she has completed a brand new story in the Harry Potter universe, one that deals with the Ministry Undersecretary and one-time Hogwarts Headmistress, Dolores Umbridge. The story has not yet been revealed, but it is going to be published on the official website, Pottermore, on Halloween.

The new story is going to be a “special Halloween treat for Harry Potter fans,” according to a statement on Pottermore, “Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters, she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar on Harry.”

According to the same statement, the story is going to be about 1700 words long, which is not that much if you're an avid Potter fan, but it will be enough to deal with Dolores' beginnings. For Rowling, the Pottermore website has become a platform for adding to the Potter universe from time to time.

Back in July, she posted a new story in which Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny were present, all grown up and attending the Quidditch World Cup.

Though fans have been begging, Rowling has said that she has no intention to write another Harry Potter book at the moment. Presently, she is busy writing the screen adaptation for the spinoff movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”
