Intel has just made available HD graphics driver version 10.18.10.3960 compatible with its Next Unit Computing (NUC) devices, which adds support for Core M CPUs with Intel HD Graphics 5300.

This new addition implements a new design of graphics architecture for ultrathin 2-in-1 devices, therefore improving performance and power efficiency once more.

However, this update is only compatible with Intel’s D34010WYB and D54250WYB NUC boards, as well as with D34010WYK and D54250WYK NUC kit products. Moreover, these supported devices must also be powered by one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems.

As for the rest of the changes, build 3960 enhances Dirt 3 gaming performance, improves video playback experience, adds support for new OpenGL and OpenCL extensions, and experiences a 50% and 10% gain in performance with CompuBench and Sandra 2014 apps, respectively.

In addition to that, several display corruptions observed while playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and SimCity, or when using Internet Explorer and Adobe Photoshop, have been resolved.

Other changes, such as allowing Eizo owners to select 4k2k resolution on compatible display panels, resolving various issues regarding Max Payne 3 and Dota 2 titles, or improving overall stability when running SolidWorks 2014, Maya 2014, and SPECviewperf 11 apps, might also encourage you to upgrade to this version.

That being said, download Intel NUC HD Graphics Driver 10.18.10.3960, apply it on your NUC, perform a reboot upon completion to make sure all changes take effect properly, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
