After introducing five new filters for its Instagram for iOS app back in December 2014, Instagram had the pleasure of announcing today, April 27, the immediate availability for download and update of version 6.11.0 of its Instagram app for iPhone devices.

The biggest feature of Instagram 6.11.0 for iOS is the addition of three new filters. Lark, Reyes, and Juno are now available to all iPhone owners who have the Instagram app installed, providing them with a family of subtle and modern filters designed to enhance and brighten photos.

"In December, we introduced five new filters to Instagram, and we heard overwhelming excitement from the community after their release. As part of our commitment to creativity, today we’re excited to introduce three new filters — and we plan to bring you additional ones more regularly going forward," was stated in the blog announcement.

Here's how Lark, Reyes, and Juno will improve your iPhonography

iPhonographers around the world who use Instagram to post their awesome work, should know that the Lark filter will desaturate reds and punch up greens and blues, bringing landscapes to life. On the other hand, Reyes promises to bring a vintage, dusty look to your photos.

Lastly, Juno is designed primarily for photos of people, making whites glow, tinting cool tones green, and popping warm colors for vibrant images. In addition to the new filters, the new Instagram update lets users use emoji in their hashtags.

To update to Instagram 6.11.0 right now, open the App Store app on your iPhone, go to the 'Updates' tab, wait for the new Instagram update to appear in the list of updates, then click the "Update" button in front of it. The update will also be available for Android users later today.
