14 DAY TRIAL // Blizzard confirms that, in addition to its waves of invitations and the Founder's Pack offer, there will soon be a new way of accessing Heroes of the Storm, as existing beta participants will receive four invitations via email in the future.
Heroes of the Storm is Blizzard's entry into the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre, and ever since the debut of its closed technical alpha last year, many people have flocked to try out the experience.
At the beginning of 2015, the game entered closed beta and even more people were invited by Blizzard to try out the game, via the periodical waves of invitations sent to those who manifested their interest in testing out the game.
Some while ago, Blizzard also added the Founder's Pack for Heroes of the Storm into its Battle.net application, allowing those who still don't have access into the game the simple option of buying into it, while also receiving different heroes and in-game gold for free.
Existing beta participants will get four invitations
Now, Blizzard confirms on the official website that all those who are currently inside the beta for Heroes of the Storm will soon receive emails with four invitations to give to their friends.
"As a way to say thank you to the community for helping us make Heroes of the Storm the best game it can possibly be throughout its Alpha and Beta phases thus far, we’ll soon be trying out a new method for sharing Closed Beta testing invitations, which will allow existing players to bring a few of their friends into the Nexus," the studio says.
In the next few weeks, a smaller group of testers will get such emails, and provided everything goes smoothly, more and more people will receive such invitations in the future, so that they can bring their friends into Heroes of the Storm.
Blizzard emphasizes that this new system is in addition to the regular invitation waves and the Founder's Pack.
