Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a major launch for the Xbox One, and the teams at developer 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are announcing that they have managed to deliver a first hotfix for the matchmaking of the game bundle, which is designed to fix most if not all the problems that gamers have been facing since launch.

At the moment, the game is still listed as having issues on the official support site for the Xbox platform, and the two companies are saying that they are continuing to work and that more changes might be implemented soon.

Interestingly, Destiny is at the moment also affected by some issues related to multiplayer, although they are probably not connected to those experienced by Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Microsodt states, "We are aware of issues some players have been experiencing with matchmaking and we're working around the clock, alongside the Xbox Live team, to improve the situation. We have deployed an update that has shown some improvement, and we continue to optimize the experience."

All the changes made to Halo: The Master Chief Collection were made on the server side of the game, and a full solution to the matchmaking problems might also require changes to the client, which means that gamers might have to download an actual update in the coming days.

All core Halo titles are now offered on the Xbox One

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a very complex game package which allows gamers to experience the four core titles in the franchise, complete with extra content and with a host of updates linked to visuals as well as to gameplay.

The multiplayer side of the game is very complex and aims to deliver both classic mechanics and modern ones, in order to appeal to as many fans as possible.

Getting Halo: The Master Chief Collection also allows gamers to access the new Halo: Nightfall live-action series, which was created by Ridley Scott and introduces a major new character called Agent Locke.

He will play an important role in the Halo 5: Guardians experience, which is set to arrive on the Xbox One in the fall of next year.

The Master Chief Collection also includes access to the multiplayer beta, which will start on December 29 and will allow gamers to experience new features, including sprinting, Smart Scope, thrusters and the new slide and ground pound.
