The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft might be focusing on the next game in the franchise, but they are continuing to listen to player feedback coming from Halo: The Master Chief Collection and will also introduce more tweaks based on their opinions.

In an official Halo Waypoint update, the two companies explain that they are planning to introduce Team Snipers as a featured playlist, to offer the community more variety when it comes to the modes they can enjoy.

Recently 343 Industries has introduced a set of matchmaking updates for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, thus adding ranks to the Halo 2 Classic, Halo 3, Halo 4, Team Hardcore, and Team Doubles playlists.

Team Slayer has been moved to the unranked column, and the company has also delivered some changes designed to improve aim assists for Halo: CE.

343 Industries adds, "the team is working to resolve issues that are preventing Halo 3’s Hardcore variants from being brought into matchmaking, but these do indeed remain a priority. Stay tuned to these updates for the latest on what’s to come in the world of playlist updates."

No updates for Halo: The Master Chief Collection and no new information about the future of the shooter will be delivered during the week of E3 2015.

Halo 5: Guardians cannot exist outside of the history of the series

At the trade show Microsoft will have a big press conference during which the new Master Chief powered shooter will take center stage and more details are expected about both the core gameplay and the associated story.

But the new title is also expected to increase interest in Halo: The Master Chief Collection because it is the only way for those who own an Xbox One to experience the past core installments with improved graphics.

343 Industries and Microsoft need to continue to offer updates in order to keep the community engaged.

Halo 5: Guardians will be out on October 27 on the Xbox One.

343 Industries and Microsoft will hope that none of the major technical issues that affected Halo: The Master Chief Collection when it launched will be present on that date because they could have a huge impact on sales.
