The development team at 343 Industries and Microsoft are ready to announce the future events that will be part of the Championship Series for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, with two major events set to take place during February and more planned for March.

The two companies are offering details in an official Halo Waypoint post which features some very suggestive visual helpers offering the full details on the coming competitions.

In February, gamers will be able to take part in the Gamers for Giving 2015 event, which takes place starting February 21 and is organized by Gamers Outreach Foundation.

343 Industries states, “We've had the pleasure of partnering with Gamers for Giving in years prior, and are excited to sanction this year's tournament as a Platinum HCS tournament, as well as work with Gamers Outreach to hold some one of a kind Halo charity auctions during the weekend.”

The prizes will come in at 10,000 dollars (7,600 Euro) and the best team involved will also get 3,000 HCS Points.

On February 22, the European Gaming League will be running the Battle for Europe event, which is a wild card that offers access to the Halo Championship Series Season 1 Finals.

The online qualifying process starts on January 11 and four teams will be fighting for the spot in the finals.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will deliver finals for the Championship Series in March

The Halo Championship Series Season 1 Finals are planned for March 6 to March 8 in Boston, at PAX East, with ESL hosting the entire competition.

The two companies add, “All travel expenses will be paid for by 343 Industries and the tournament will feature a $50,000 prize pool.”

Gamers who are unable to attend will have the option to watch the matches on Twitch.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection was in rough shape when it was launched and the Championship Series was delayed as a result.

Since the competition started, the developers have been offering updates that tweak maps and modes, and the success of the first season will probably determine how the involved companies will deal with the future of the competitive side of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
