Gamers cannot get past the 99 percent mark

On Saturday, the development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft announced that both the ODST campaign and the Remnant map were being added to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, alongside a range of other fixes and tweaks for the core mechanics of the title.

One day later, a significant portion of the player community is saying that it is unable to install at least part of the new content and the two involved companies have not offered information about the problem or about a possible solution.

A number of fans of Halo: The Master Chief Collection are talking about the issue on the NeoGAF forums, where they explain that the download process for ODST is stuck at the 99 percent mark, and there's no way to get it to progress.

Others are saying that they are asked to download the most recent patch for the shooter once again, but the move does not have an effect, and they remain unable to enjoy the single-player focused content.

The problems might be a sign that 343 Industries needed to rush the launch of the ODST and Remnant content in order to meet its self-imposed May deadline and did not have all the time it needed to test the deployment process.

Presumably, the studio will find a solution in the coming days and will share it with the community.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection had major problems when it was first launched

What's more concerning about the new issues associated with the ODST installation is that they resemble the problems that the entire title had when it was first delivered on the Xbox One in November of last year.

Since then, 343 Industries and Microsoft have worked hard to deliver patches and to listen to the community, but all their efforts can be ruined by just one major bug associated with the title.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is important for the franchise because it represents the only way gamers can enjoy all the four major titles in the series and now the ODST spin-off on the Xbox One.

The new Halo 5: Guardians will be launched on the same platform on October 27, introducing a new campaign focused on the adventures of both Master Chief and Agent Locke, with a narrative that will focus on the way different perspectives evaluate the same events.
