The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are announcing that they have delivered yet another update for their recently launched Halo: The Master Chief Collection, once again designed to improve overall matchmaking and to make it easier for players to get into multiplayer matches.

The stability of the servers has been improved, according to the official site, and the two companies are saying that they are planning to soon offer another big content update for the Xbox One package.

They state, "This content update addresses campaign, UI, and some Matchmaking party issues, but will not address Matchmaking performance. As we mentioned yesterday, a larger Matchmaking performance-focused content update is currently planned for release next week. We will have the full details of this update when the update goes live late afternoon (PST)."

Matchmaking has been a problem for Halo: The Master Chief Collection since it was launched on November 11, and 343 Industries is not yet ready to say how many members of the player community are affected or when it might finally solve the problems.

In order to reduce the impact that matchmaking has, the studio has also eliminated some of the included playlists and says that all gamers who do not join a match in 5 minutes should drop out of the lobby and try again.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection launch troubles lead to a delay of the Championship Series

Halo: The Master Chief Collection includes all the four core titles in the franchise, and the development team was eager to show how the rebuild multiplayer can power solid eSports competitions.

Now, 343 Industries and Microsoft are saying that they are delaying the launch of the Championship Series for one week, which means that the fans will have to wait until November 23 before they can see the best players fighting it out in multiplayer.

The two companies add, "343 Industries is focused on resolving existing matchmaking issues. This delay will ensure that the first pre-season cup is up to the standards of our fans and competitors."

The single player of Halo: The Master Chief Collection does not seem to have any issues at the moment, which means that the bundle is still good value for money.

Those who get it can also access the Halo: Nightfall live-action series, which introduces a new character called Agent Locke that will apparently play an important role in Halo 5: Guardians, a title set to arrive on the Xbox One in the fall of 2015.
