Video game developer 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are ready to reveal the entire program of the coming Championship Series Season 1 finals for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which will take place over the weekend during the PAX East event.

100,000 dollars (81,000 Euro) in prizes are being offered and the teams that are taking part are: Evil Geniuses, Counter Logic Gaming, Denial eSports, OpTic Gaming, Cloud9, Str8 Rippin, eLevate, Noble Black and Vibe.

Gamers will be able to watch all the action of the first finals for the Championship Series for Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Twitch starting from 10 AM Eastern time on Friday, and the same time on both Saturday and Sunday.

So far, 343 Industries and Microsoft have not said who will be offering commentary on the matches.

The company is also announcing that it is launching a clothing line linked to Halo: The Master Chief Collection in order to celebrate the occasion.

Gamers will be able to get tees, hoodies and other items in the official Halo Waypoint Store, created by J!NX.

Until Tuesday, March 10, gamers can take advantage of some special offers.

A social kit is also offered to those who want to show their support for one of the teams playing Halo: The Master Chief Collection professionally.

343 Industries is continuing to work on patches

The start of the Championship series season was delayed because Halo: The Master Chief Collection simply had too many problems to be a solid eSports experience.

Since then, the developers have managed to deliver a range of patches that have improved the title, including one which arrived this week, and the studio says that more tweaks and changes are set to be offered in the coming months.

But most of the resources associated with the franchise are at the moment focused on the creation of Halo 5: Guardians, which is expected to be offered on the Xbox One in the fall.

343 Industries says the beta period was a success and the company has gathered a lot of data from gamers which will be used to improve multiplayer modes, with one big change being the fact that gamers can disable the new Spartan powers in all custom modes.

The single player of Halo: The Master Chief Collection has not received too many details yet.
