Halo 5: Guardians is the kind of video game that will get a huge marketing push from Microsoft, and the company and developer 343 Industries are working hard already to get fans engaged with the story of the first-person shooter built around Master Chief.

The most recent update of the Hunt the Truth promotional campaign has journalist Benjamin Giroud take part in a live news show that is designed to discredit him and his evidence of a major ONI cover-up around the Spartan project and the actions of Master Chief.

The public has been rooting for the intrepid investigator to uncover the truth, but it seems that the establishment is more powerful than thought and has the power to twist evidence and information to suit their narrative.

Halo 5: Guardians will apparently also make Petra Janecek an important character for the future of the Hunt the Truth story, which will get a new installment after E3 2015 is over.

During E3 2015, 343 Industries and Microsoft will deliver more details about the story fans will be able to explore.

Halo 5: Guardians will deliver single-player, cooperative play, and multiplayer modes

The coming video game is designed to appeal to all those who have followed the series since it was first introduced on the original Xbox.

The single-player element of Halo 5: Guardians will focus around both Master Chief and the newly introduced Agent Locke, showing how two characters can see the same events through two very different perspectives.

The company is also allowing four players to cooperate in order to get through the story, although it will be disappointing for gamers to learn that they will need to have an Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to take part, despite an initial announcement that mentioned only Silver.

Halo 5: Guardians will also introduce major changes to the multiplayer elements of the franchise, with a wide range of new abilities that Spartans will be able to use in combat.

343 Industries has already said that it wants to make sure that battles are both more dynamic and give gamers more options, with extensive customization for all characters.

The Custom Game modes will be offered for all those who want to play a more classic version of the shooter.

Halo 5: Guardians will be out on October 27 only on the Xbox One from Microsoft.
