Halo 5: Guardians was one of the stars of E3 2015, with the development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft delivering a wide range of details about the title, focusing on the Warzone multiplayer experience but also on the single-player story that will link the characters of Master Chief and Agent Locke, with an extensive cast of Spartans supporting both of them.

But the two companies also want gamers to care about the enemies they will be facing in the shooter, and the Halo Waypoint site is currently delivering more information about the Forerunner Soldier, who is now shown for the first time.

343 Industries states, "During their war with ancient humanity millennia ago, the Didact employed the use of Armigers – bipedal combat platforms that proved incredibly useful for raiding ancient human warships, particularly when attempting to infiltrate the often-more confined spaces of human vessels."

The Master Builder of the Forerunners re-authorized production to bolster his forces when battling the Flood.

Most of the Soldiers were lost over time, but it seems that their manufacturing process is once again known, and the United Nations Space Command will have to find a way to uncover its secrets.

More information about the enemy is offered in the Halo: Hunters in the Dark novel.

Halo 5: Guardians will expand on the core mechanics of the series

The single-player action shown during E3 2015 was impressive in terms of both gameplay and graphics, and players will have to approach enemies in a more methodical fashion than in any other title in the series.

343 Industries is adding a full four-player campaign support to the game, and mixing weapons, fire and abilities is the key to making progress.

The development team has explained that it wants to deliver a bigger and more emotional campaign that will offer more information about Master Chief and the way he interacts with humanity.

343 Industries has also made extensive changes to the multiplayer of the series, which includes new abilities for Spartans and a bigger focus on movement, and a new Requisition system will even allow gamers to get some content using microtransactions.

Halo 5: Guardians will be out on the Xbox One on October 27 of this year.
