The Halo franchise is one of the most important for the Xbox line of home consoles from Microsoft and the company is expanding its range by announcing that gamers will be able to enjoy a documentary which will be called Remaking the Legend and will be focused on the development process for the new Anniversary edition of Halo 2, which will be included in The Master Chief Collection bundle.

At the moment, the company is only ready to offer an official trailer for the new doc and states that “Get unprecedented access to the development process as 343 and their team of partners from around the world bring Halo 2 to the Xbox One, while maintaining and honoring its fabled past.”

The Halo: Master Chief Collection will be launched only on the Xbox One on November 11 of this year and the package will include the four core video games in the franchise and a wide range of extra content that’s designed to appeal to long-term fans of the shooter series.

Remaking the Legend will probably be offered for free to the entire community at some point in order to expand the appeal of the device and the associated franchise.

Halo 2 is the past, Halo 5 is the future

Halo 2 Anniversary is the title in the Master Chief Collection that has received the most attention from the developers at 343 Industries, mainly because it was releases ten years ago, but there are also improvements to the other titles included.

The studio says that the core gameplay is largely the same, but that the graphics and presentation have benefited a lot from the extra power of the Xbox One.

At the moment, there are no plans to introduce new versions of either ODST or Reach, which are considered not to be part of the core cannon of the universe dominated by Master Chief.

An all new title will be launched on the Xbox One in late 2015 and is called Guardians.

343 Industries and Microsoft have not offered any sort of details about its story or any new gameplay features, but rumors have suggested that a new main character and a new major enemy might be introduced.

Until it launches, fans can play the coming Master Chief Collection and they are also able to experience the new Nightfall live action series while they wait for the beta for Halo 5 to come in winter.
