Taiwanese company HTC is back with yet another high-end smartphone in the One series. But this time the device is really unique in the fact that it's the first coming equipped with MediaTek's latest Helio X10 processor.

Dubbed HTC One ME, the smartphone has been quietly launched in China, meaning that it's been listed on the company's official website, but no official announcements have been issued yet.

HTC One ME will be available in China in three color options: Gold Sepia, Meteor Grey and Rose Gold. It will be released in other Asian countries as well, but there's no word on pricing options yet.

Moving on to specs, the main strong point is the fact that it comes with a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocked at 2.2GHz.

Another selling point could be the stunning 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

20MP camera with 4K video support is a plus

The powerful Helio X10 CPU is complemented by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

It looks like HTC didn't entirely drop the UltraPixel camera that it used in its previous One series smartphones. However, this time only the 4-UltraPixel camera has been placed in the front.

On the back, the One ME features a 20-megapixel camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash and 4K video recording. The smartphone is powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

HTC also confirmed that the One ME comes with dual-SIM support, which is another indication that it will be available in other Asian countries like India where this feature is mandatory.

Other highlights of the phone include LTE support, 2,840 mAh battery, BoomSound speakers with Dolby Surround sound, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC (Near Field Communication), microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.
