Chinese device maker Huawei came to MWC 2015 to announce a bunch of products, but the most interesting one we saw come out of the company was its first smartwatch.

The intelligent timepiece is quite a looker, arriving with a round shaped display and constructed out of cold-forged stainless steel.

The Huawei watch takes advantage of a 1.4-inch AMOLED display with 400 x 400 pixel resolution. The company has made 40 watch faces that look pretty great, and at a first glance one might even mistake the intelligent time piece for an analog counterpart.

The watch has a built-in heartrate monitor and runs Android Wear out of the box. The wearable connects via a custom Huawei app to a smartphone in order to track your fitness stats.

The wristbands connect to the watch’s body with no gaps, making it look pretty great. Moreover, the standard wristbands allow users to choose between genuine leather or metal mash options.

The bad news is that if you have fallen for the Huawei watch, you’ll probably have to break the piggy bank in order to get one. The folks at BGR have managed to get hold of info saying that the Huawei Watch will arrive with a chunky price tag of $1,000 / €907, which is comparable to Apple’s Watch.

The info probably targets the Gold edition (Huawei will be offering Silver and Black models too), but given the fact that we haven’t heard from Huawei officially, you should be taking this info with a grain of salt.
