Unlike Sony, who already pushed out four smartphone models in 2015, Huawei hasn't rolled out many products this year. The exception to the rule is the company’s first smartwatch, which we have to admit looks mighty gorgeous.

But the device maker will probably catch up in the following months. Yesterday, we saw some images depicting the company’s upcoming Honor Cherry phone and we also revealed more details about the P8 Lite model.

Huawei will hold a media event on April 15 in London, where the Chinese-based OEM is expected to unveil its latest flagship, the P8.

In anticipation of the big event, the Huawei P8 has leaked again in several images, revealing the retail package in the process too. The company is spot-on when it comes to packaging design and the P8 will probably be getting the same treatment too, arriving in a sleek, easily maneuverable box.

More details about the Huawei P8 emerge

We’re also given a discrete view of the device, and as you can see, aspects such as the camera, dual-LED flash, chamfered edges on the side, power/lock button, and volume rockers are visible in the gallery.

The current hearsay claims the power button will also double as a fingerprint scanner, so it’s different from the previous Ascend Mate 7, which had the scanner positioned on the back.

We’re also able to share with you a bunch of info regarding retail availability and pricing of the handset. It appears the new Huawei P8 will be up for grabs a week after the official launch, starting on April 22, with a retail price of $484 / €444.

For those of you who haven’t been keeping track of the information related to the Huawei P8, we are taking the opportunity to remind you that the flagship is expected to arrive with a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display and will pump juice out of a HiSilicon Kirin 930 64-bit octa-core processor fitted with 3GB of RAM.

The phone will also be taking advantage of a 13MP main camera with dual-LED flash and will certainly arrive with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, with Huawei Emotion UI on top.
