14 DAY TRIAL // In a sickening turn of events, the Mama June child molestation scandal has reached a new low, as media outlets have decided to publish the gory details of the rape case of Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, in an effort to better illustrate just how insensitive Mama June was when she began dating Mark McDaniel after he was released from prison.
Radar has obtained her police report from the incident and decided to give the “highlights” of the attack, which it brands as “sick details.” We find out that the 53-year-old McDaniel didn't assault Anna just once but twice when she was just 8 and they were living in a trailer park.

We aren't going to give out any particular details simply because they are disturbing and it doesn't help Anna's case at all, nor her public image. The police report is taken from the Sheriff's Office in Spalding County, Georgia, where the attack occurred.
A distraught Anna then told a teacher about what McDaniel did to her and a police investigation soon followed. McDaniel was then indicted for child molestation, aggravated child molestation and aggravated battery of a sexual nature.
He pleaded guilty to child molestation and managed to get a plea deal for the rest of his crimes. He then went on to spend the next 10 years in jail, from where he was released in March 2014.

Several months later, Mama June would get in touch with him and rekindle their romance, choosing to ignore the fact that he had assaulted her daughter, now a married woman with children of her own. It's hard to imagine how a parent could put their needs in front of their children's, but at the moment it looks like the reality star did exactly that.
Later reports showed that McDaniel was June's former flame and she never really got over him, keeping a box of photos with him in her home. When her partner Sugar Bear came across it, it sparked a huge row. It is believed that this, and not the fact that June caught Sugar Bear browsing dating sites, has caused their split, although it hasn't been officially confirmed.

Over the weekend, photos of Mama June and McDaniel emerged, as TMZ was keen to prove that their story was real and that June was lying when she claimed that she hadn't been in touch with McDaniel since he came out of prison.
What was even more disturbing was the fact that Honey Boo Boo, Mama June's youngest daughter, 9, was present in one of the photos, being held from behind by McDaniel, while her mother smiled for the camera.
It is believed that the photo was taken while the couple was out house hunting.
Anna's initial reaction was typical of any rape victim: at first, she chose to not believe the rumor and actually stuck to her mother's version of the story, that she was keeping well away from her molester, but as the evidence kept piling up, she had to admit that her mother might be lying to her.
“I believe she is seeing him and hanging around him. I'm hurt,” Anna said.
At the moment, the only direct repercussion on the family is that TLC promptly decided to cancel the reality series, but there are reports that an official investigation from CPS is underway and could terminate's June's custody of her three underage children if she is seen as unfitting.
