The Nexus 9 was one of the most anticipated tablets of the year, and when Google finally launched it on October 15, a lot of folks got excited.

And now, right on schedule, the Nexus 9 has become available for purchase in the Google Play store and awaiting orders. The estimated shipping time is said to be 1-2 business days.

Take into consideration that only the Nexus 9 Wi-Fi is up for grabs for the time being, selling for $399 / €319 a pop (the 16GB model). The LTE model is listed as "Coming Soon."

Customers can pick up the tablet in either Indigo Black or Lunar White, but a third coloring option will be made available at some point in the future.

For those of you arriving late at the Nexus 9 party, the tablet boasts an 8.9-inch display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution (4:3 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3), an NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor fitted with 2GB of RAM (64-bit) and Android 5.0 Lollipop on top (it’s actually the first tablet to sport the new OS).

The slate also takes advantage of HTC’s Boomsound front-facing speakers, which is the producing company’s distinctive mark on the tablet.
