If you were thinking that there is no easier way to pay your bills, then Google will prove you wrong.

It was recently revealed by Recode that Google might be working on a way to allow you to pay the bills from your personal Gmail account.

They have managed to get some screenshots as well, where you can actually see the exact process of registering for the services provided by Google.

How does this feature work?

Apparently, in order to sign up, you need to provide some personal information, such as your full name, your residential address, the Social Security number, and of course, the credit card number.

The name that the application is reported to have is Pony Express, or at least this is the name appearing in the screenshots. It is uncertain whether Google will choose to keep the name or they will change it before the launch.

While electronic bill payment is old news, the idea that Google might actually release this feature has really stirred some interest since it could actually make things much easier. This method could help people save a lot of time.

Since the required information includes the Social Security number, we can assume that the feature will first be released in the United States, but maybe if the initiative is successful, it will expand its branches in other countries as well.

Furthermore, Recode says that the Pony Express might have an extra function that allows users to pay only a part of the sum of money from the bill, and this could prove quite useful for all those who share living costs with their roommates or even with members of their family.

Google has neither confirmed nor denied these assumptions, which means that there is a big chance that the information might be accurate, after all.

It should be mentioned that this is not the first mobile payment system developed by Google as it also has Google Wallet, which was released back in 2011 and works on both Android and iOS.
