Introduced in October of 2014, the all-new 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K Display normally sells for $2,499 (€2,599 in Europe), and delivers some of the best visuals in the industry, coupled with some not-too-shabby computing power.

That’s a lot of cash for most people. Even if you do relatively well, you still can’t get one of these babies without impacting your monthly budget. However, if you desperately want one and you’re considering buying it at a discount, Apple may have the perfect offer for you.

Over at its Refurbs area, the company is currently selling a Refurbished 27-inch iMac 3.5GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5 with Retina display for $2,119 (€1,821), which is about $400 (€343) less than the original asking price. It’s still a lot, but the savings are substantial as well.

What you get for your buck

In a nutshell, you’ll be acquiring the most powerful iMac in existence, and the best 27-inch display shipped by Apple to this day. The reviews have been raving, and there aren’t too many complaints regarding this computer so far.

The only drawback regarding this particular offer is that this is a refurbished product, meaning it’s been returned by someone back to Apple, and the company reconditioned it.

The company assures customers that, “While only some units are returned due to technical issues, all units undergo Apple's stringent quality refurbishment process.” Each Apple Certified Refurbished Product receives a full evaluation to confirm that everything is in working order prior to resale, and receives replacement parts for any defective modules identified in testing.

The product is further put through a thorough cleaning process, is repackaged with all the manuals, cables, and new boxes, and ships with the latest OS. One last thing: these offers generally don’t last for too long, so if you’re keen to own the machine, act quickly.
