The first concrete details about the upcoming Gears of War Remastered game for the Xbox One have leaked online, via a now deleted listing on the Russian version of the official website. These mention the array of improvements made to the original game, as well as an August 25 release date.

The Gears of War series has delighted tens of millions of Xbox 360 owners over the years, ever since the 2006 debut of the initial title by Epic Games. Meanwhile, the series moved to Microsoft, which currently has its The Coalition (formerly known as Black Tusk Studios) team working on an Xbox One installment.

Since then, it's become quite clear that the corporation is also preparing a remastered version of Gears of War 1 for the Xbox One, as gameplay videos, screenshots, and other details have appeared throughout the last few months.

Full details appear through the official website

Now, eagle-eyed fans have managed to spot that the Russian version of the Gears of War website features details about the upcoming Gears of War Remastered. That listing has since been modified, but all the important information was gathered by Reddit users.

According to the details, the new title brings back the original story in Gears of War 1, while adding the new content that was made for its PC debut. There are new achievements totaling 1250 Gamerscore, new gallery sketches and comic books that can be unlocked, and other such things.

Lots of enhancements are present for the multiplayer mode

However, the biggest improvements have been made to the multiplayer mode. It's been streamlined to deliver a 60fps framerate and dedicated servers are present. Besides the regular game modes, there are new types, such as Team Fight, 2v2 Destruction, and a King of Hill variant that was seen in the more recent Gears of War 3.

There are 19 cards and 17 characters from the Gears of War 3 online mode. Players can choose different options for their own private matches, and there are different control schemes, including a tournament one.

Last but not least, the listing also mentions an August 25, 2015 release date for the Xbox One, so it seems that the Gears of War Remastered experience is coming sooner rather than later.

Expect the official details about the new Xbox One title later today, when Microsoft kicks off its E3 2015 press event.
