The update will come along with Lady Hammerlock DLC

Gearbox announced over the weekend the upcoming release of another DLC for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Lady Hammerlock, which is supposed to arrive later today.

The new DLC is part of the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass, so those who already own it won’t have to pay anything for the upcoming pack.

The Lady Hammerlock Pack will be available on Steam for €9.99 ($9.99) for those who have yet to purchase the Season Pass for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

However, the DLC mentioned earlier will not be the only content coming to Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel today. Gearbox has just confirmed that an update will be available for download as well, along with the Lady Hammerlock Pack.

Unfortunately, the update to be released on January 27 contains an issue that will not be addressed by developers by the time it goes live.

You can choose not to have the update, but you won't be able to play online

The good news is that Gearbox announced it and players will now be able to avoid using a specific item in the game, which might cause the game to crash.

Specifically, Gearbox has confirmed that when the update is applied, “putting three items of purple rarity into the Grinder has the potential to cause a crash.”

Although they are working hard to fix this issue, Gearbox warns players that, until such a fix is released, they will be using the Grinder at their own risk.

Keep in mind that, if you don’t want to receive this update so that you can continue to use the Grinder, you can do that by putting Steam into Offline Mode or not accepting the update on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

However, that means that you won’t be able to access the new Lady Hammerlock Pack or play online for that matter. More information on the status of the bug fix will be shared as soon as it becomes available so stay tuned for more on this one.
