14 DAY TRIAL // During its theatre panel at PAX South 2015, Gearbox Software announced the upcoming availability of a new DLC for the latest installment in the Borderlands franchise, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
The new Lady Hammerlock DLC will be available in North America beginning January 27, while Europe and Asia will get it one day later on January 28.
Lady Hammerlock DLC will arrive as downloadable add-on on the same date, depending on the region, on PC (Steam), PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
As many Borderlands fans will probably guess, there's a connection between the protagonist in this DLC and Sir Hammerlock who appears as another downloadable add-on in Borderlands 2.
It looks like the hunter in Borderlands 2, Sir Hammerlock had an older sister, Aurelia. Apparently, she was the kind of sister that every little brother is terrified of.
Lady Aurelia the Baroness will be the newest playable character in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, coming next week.
Three new tree skills
Lady Hammerlock comes with her own unique skill trees that you can choose from. There are three skill trees which will be available for the new playable character: Huntress, Cold Money, and Contractual Aristocracy.
The first one is aimed at those who prefer to approach targets from afar, as Huntress is purely focusing on sniping, as well as critical hit bonus for each consecutive hit she lands without missing.
As the name suggests, the Cold Money skill tree focuses on ice damage and includes a skill that adds Cryo damage to any gun she uses.
Last but not least, Contractual Aristocracy allows Lady Hammerlock to turn a co-op teammate into a servant, which means that she will be adding her bonuses for their kills in addition to her own.
Lady Hammerlock DLC will be free to Season Pass owners
If you have already purchased the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass, then you will get Lady Hammerlock DLC for free, but if not you will have to pay $9.99 (€9.99).
Or you could purchase the Season Pass right now for $29.99 (€29.99) and receive all four DLCs that Gearbox included in it, for free. This way you will be getting 4 DLCs at the price of 3.
Lady Hammerlock is the third DLC for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, as Gearbox has already released the Handsome Jack Doppelganger Pack and the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught.
On related news, during the same panel at PAX South 2015 Gearbox also confirmed that the next DLC will probably be focused on Claptrap, the little robot looking like a trashcan that is present in all Borderlands games.
