Video game specialist retailer GameStop seems to be preparing a major set of offers for gamers in time for Black Friday, with those interested able to get access to a wide array of home consoles with deep discounts and plenty of titles to play on their new purchases.

The chain is preparing to allow players to pick up a PlayStation 4 bundle which includes both Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us Remastered for 400 dollars (318 Euro), and an Xbox One package which comes complete with Assassin's Creed Unity and with Black Flag for 330 dollars (245 Euro).

A number of high-profile titles are also discounted to 30 dollars (22 Euro) for Black Friday, allowing gamers to make sure that they have all the big releases in their library.

The information comes from leaked ads that have been obtained by Bfads, and gamers can take a look at the images to get more information on what GameStop has prepared for them.

Presumably, other major chains, even those that are not focused on video game sales, will soon announce their own major price cuts, and it's very probable that they will match the numbers seen at GameStop.

Black Friday is a major moment for the video game industry

Black Friday is important because it allows big stores to move a significant number of home consoles and video games in a short time.

A company which can put together an attractive bundle and authorizes a solid price cut can generate sales quickly and change the momentum of the current console competition.

So far, the PlayStation 4 from Sony has managed to move more than 13.5 million devices to its gamers and Microsoft says that its own Xbox One has passed the 10 million units shipped to stores mark.

At the moment, both companies are claiming that they are able to dominate the crucial shopping period which runs until Christmas and that it will give them a significant advantage when the entire industry moves into 2015.

However, the biggest problem is the fact that gamers are adopting the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, but they are not buying as many titles as during the previous generation.

It will be interesting to see which one is more successful on Black Friday, hardware or software, and which of the recent slate of big launches, including Advanced Warfare, Unity or Far Cry 4, benefits the most.
