14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Telltale Games is announcing that it is set to deliver the new Sons of Winter episode for the Game of Thrones video game series starting on May 26, with gamers able to now take a look at the official trailer for the experience.
The official Twitter account of the company states that gamers will be able to get the new content on May 26 if they are playing on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the PS3, and one day later if they are linked to the Xbox One or the Xbox 360.
Mobile devices are also getting a version of Sons of Winter for Game of Thrones on May 28.
The trailer for the new episode has some spoilers about the previous installments, which means that gamers should only watch it if they have played through the series up to this point.
The Game of Thrones video game from Telltale Games is based on the HBO show that was created on the story of A Song of Ice and Fire book written by George R.R. Martin.
The protagonists are members of House Forrester, which has fleshed out specifically for the episodic title and needs to deal with the events that are linked to the War of the Five Kings and the fall of the Starks.
Sons of Winter is not the final episode in the first season
The game follows five main characters, and the fourth episode is designed to introduce more conflicts and more dramatic moments as the developers are getting ready for the conclusion of the first season.
Rodrick, Gared, Mira, Asher and Ryon all need to make important decisions about House Forrester and their own destinies.
Telltale Games has not said whether it has plans to continue the series by focusing on the same family or if it will switch core characters for the second season, which is all but guaranteed to exist given the success of the titles.
The development team is at the moment also working on an episodic series based on Borderlands and is also engaged with The Walking Dead and the Wolf Among Us. Another big intellectual property that is entirely original is currently in development as well, but no details have been offered about it so far.
