Liam and Noel are fine playing in separate bands

It's a case of good-news-bad-news for Oasis fans after it has emerged that the Gallagher brothers, the ones who used to make up the successful British rock band Oasis, have finally made up after years of feuding bitterly. Unfortunately, it seems that the two don't have any immediate plans to bring back the band as fans would have liked.

Noel Gallagher has been the one to squish the rumors, by calling getting Oasis back together “a backwards step” both for him and brother Liam. Oasis came together in 1991 and lasted until 2009 when, right before a concert, the brothers had a fight and never spoke to each other again – at least not in public.

In the December issue of Q Magazine, Liam explains that he and his brother are on “good terms,” “as good as can be,” but that they are not getting back together.

This was the first thought that crossed everyone's mind as soon as they heard of the patch up and it was supported by the fact that Liam's Beady eye band recently split up, just in time for Oasis to come together.

But Liam said that he enjoys the creative freedom he has at the moment and he's not ready to give that up. He also confessed that he still gets annoyed when people mistake him for his younger brother Noel.
