14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Stardock is announcing that Galactic Civilizations III is getting a version 1.01 patch today, which is only offered to those who are interested in trying out a number of tweaks and changes.
Basically, gamers who want to continue playing the strategy title in its launch state can continue to do so because there's no major problem linked to it.
Those who are interested in version 1.01 will need to go to the official listing for Galactic Civilizations III in their Steam library, right-click to get to Properties and then select the Beta tab before using the dropdown to opt into the new update.
The official announcement explains, "There is a known issue with the Optin where the AI plays your faction in the tutorial and the campaign. We have a fix for it and we are in the process of updating the option with that fix. In the meantime if you would like to play the tutorial or campaign please opt out of the option."
A range of changes have been made to the new version of Galactic Civilizations III, which gamers can see by clicking on the button at the end of this article.
Gamers will be happy to hear that turns on large maps should take less time to resolve and that some problems with bonuses and events have been eliminated.
Custom civs can also be used in multiplayer matches.
