The upcoming PC edition of GTA 5 is looking good

The upcoming PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 is being handled by the same internal Rockstar team as the Max Payne 3 PC edition, according to a new report, which also claims that the game easily reaches 60fps on the studio's computers.

GTA 5 came out back in September of last year across the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles and reached the PS4 and Xbox One last month, bringing forth better visuals, enhanced multiplayer, and many other improvements.

The PC edition, while initially set to debut alongside the new console versions, was pushed back until next month for extra polishing.

Now, thanks to a new report from DSOGaming, which cites internal Rockstar sources, the PC edition of GTA 5 is being developed by the same internal team that worked on the PC version of Max Payne 3. As opposed to Rockstar's previous PC effort, GTA 4, Max Payne 3 ran very well on the platform and was an example of a great PC adaptation.

What's more, the report also claims that the upcoming version of GTA 5 runs easily at 60fps on Rockstar's test PCs, but it's unclear just what requirements need to be met in order to reach the same performance.

You can expect some more details about GTA 5's PC version to appear in the following weeks, as we get closer to its release on January 27.
